Laurian is a dutch filmmaker, actor and presenter. His career started with the Dutch musical Billy Elliot. To play the lead-role, he had to undergo a thorough and heavy training. In addition to the many types of dance at an advanced level, he has also stuck to the strict discipline. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that would change the course of his life!

Ever since, Laurian has been working as an actor in many different television-programs, short-films, commercials and other projects. Besides his activities in the film-industry, he always continued dancing at the highest level. Laurian has starred in a variety of television programs from different broadcasters including: AVROTROS, RTL/TALPA and NTR. Laurian was one of the presenters of the children’s program “The Animal Detectives”. The program is partly taught in English and is distributed internationally. After this, he was seen in “Mediamasters”, an online game for primary schools.

For his exam-assignment, Laurian decided to make a short film about depression: “The Fall”. This is where Laurian took on directing and producing. The film ‘The Fall‘ premiered in October 2019 in the Gouda cinema, after which the film can be seen as an information film in schools in collaboration with the GGD. Nowadays Laurian is both seen in front and behind of the camera. He frequently directs production-videos of the youtube-channel Cirque-it. He also has his own youtube-channel where he posts documentary-style videos to express his creativity and vision. Laurian also works as a freelance filmmaker providing content for a variety of businesses.
